What Causes Pain In Inner Ankle When Diagnosed With Fungus In Foot?

My right inner ankle has been hurting for the past week. I am not sure what i did to it, but i thought it would go away. Now it hurts even more not to the point where i can not walk ut more uncomfortable. Now there is a small pea sized ball. I do have a fungus in my foot that i have had for a year. Can that be the cause of this?

Hello,

The fungus in the foot does not seem to be related to the pain in the ankle. The pain in the ankle can be related to an ankle strain. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application and maintain the ankle immobilized.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
