What Causes Pain In Joints, Severe Fatigue And Hearing Loss Along With Tinnitus?
Hi, I m looking for a doctor to help me with serious joint pain and damage all over my body, severe fatige, hearing loss and tinitus. GP investigated and tested me for years and no results, no diagnosis besides a guess of osteoarthritis, or fibromyalgia. I m male, 56. Wondering if my problems could be Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. I need to find a doctor in Kansas City area who will tackle my problem in ways my GP did not. Any help?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Hearing loss and tinnitus are symptoms pertaining to ear thus you need to consult an ENT specialist. Some disease process affecting the ear is suspected. A clinical assessment and relevant investigations- hearing tests and audiometry are required for further work up. Joint pain along with severe fatigue can be due to connective tissue disorder. Certain investigations are required to find out the most probable cause of these symptoms. Antibodies against extractable nuclear antigens are required to diagnose a connective tissue disorder. In case all these antibodies turn out to be negative then other cause of joint pain and fatigue has to be found out and thus treatment has to be planned.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
