Suspected
Rheumatic fever.
I have gone through the problems in your query, in presence of recent sore
throat infection, fever and the joint pains with raised ESR the features are suggestive of inflammation of the joints most probably due to post bacterial infection of the throat which needs to be confirmed.
Inflammation caused by rheumatic fever may last for a few weeks to several months and it may cause long-term complications such as
rheumatic heart disease.
Hence, you are advised to visit a physician for the work up for the following investigations followed by the treatment.,
Following additional investigations are recommended:
C reactive protein, CBC, ASO titre, ECG to confirm the diagnosis of Rheumatic fever.
Based on the results the physician, the following medications are may be used to reduce the fever and to eradicate the bacteria.
NSAID pain killers like Aspirin or Naproxen for fever and pain and Penicillins for the bacterial infection.
