What Causes Pain In Left Arm, Ringing Ears And Dizziness Post Head Injury?

Hello! A week before christmas eve i wound up hitting my head pretty hard. Since than ive been having bad nerve pains mostly in my left arm. Went to hospital and they said it was nerve damage ( I ve also had bad nerves for awhile). On the 23rd my head also started ringing and i was dizzy. Went in to the hospital again and they wrote me a week off work and told me i hit my head harder than i thought. Anyways since than my left arm from my elbow to my hand hurts everyday! It goes cold ( doesnt feel cold to the touch) amd than it really hurts. A few days after i hit my head i did fall on the ice pretty good. I wondering if its something i should be concerned about. Im a 22 yr female

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in left arm, ringing ears and dizziness post head injury . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to condition known as concussion . Sudden acceleration or deceleration of the head, resulting from certain events such as a car crash or being violently shaken can cause brain injury. This is a kind of emergency . I would suggest you to consult neurologist without any delay . Doctor may do vision, balance , memory , CT scan or X-rays to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may recommend you to take proper rest , prescribe analgesic , anti emetic drug and sometimes surgery can also be recommended in severe cases . For now stay calm and take proper rest . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for tinnitus and dizziness .
