What Causes Pain In Left Armpit With History Of Undergoing Surgery For Scalp Tumor?

Hi I am 52 yrs old man suffered from squamous cell carcinoma in the scalp 2 yrs ago with metastatic to one lymph node in posterior neck. I had 2 surgeries to remove scalp tumor and wide neck excision to remove 52 lymph node in the left side of my neck. I took also radio and chemo therapy and now on periodical check up every six month. All previous check up are clean. Suddenly 2 days ago after I had some hard home works I felt a pain in my left armpit, and when I touched by hand I felt a small lump not more than 7mm diameter soft and attached to the skin with light pain. Is that lump swollen lymph? is it dangerous?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having enlarged axillary lymph node.
Keeping history of squamouscell carcinoma, having secondary in this lymph node should be kept in mind.
Consult your treating doctor and get examined and investigate this problem.
Ok and take care.
