What Causes Pain In Left Chest And Breathlessness?

I am having what I believe to be pain from a strained pectoral muscle on left chest. But also it is very painful to take deep breaths. I have no indications that my blood O2 levels are lowered, fingernails look normal, my coloring is all normal, none of the breathing signals that I look for when my son is having an asthma attack either. It just hurts a lot. Anything to worry about?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. You know the details. You know that you do not have oxygen deficiency and any other symptoms as in the case of asthma. But you have persistent pain around your left chest and it is painful to take deep breaths. Continuous pain without other symptoms like panting, restlessness, profuse sweating etc may not be associated with heart related problems. This pain could be due to either a sprain or anxiety and stress. Still, to be sure and to satisfy yourself, please consult a physician. Take care.
