Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In Left Flank Along With Ankylosing Spondylitis?
I have pain on my left side /flank I went to ER cat scan showed normal urine test normal no UTI blood was told liver enzymes 150 .sent home told to keep eye on it for a rash potential of shingles onset.i have Ankylosing spondylitis I was thinking it could be apart of a flare although I have never had this type of pain before .it truly does ache and hurt any idea what is going on ?i feel very dismissed by ER dr.but the pain is very real
If the pain is getting aggravated by movements, then it may be related to Ankylosing spondylitis. I would suggest to get CRP test done for the diagnosis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Deepak Sundriyal, Oncologist
