What Causes Pain In Left Leg And Foot In Pregnancy?
I have been having pain in my left leg and my foot and my mother told me when she touched it she said it was feverish and I m 30 weeks pregnant and this has been going on for a couple of days now and it s very painful to walk and for someone to touch it
The usual causes of leg pain during pregnancy are: 1. Anaemia 2. Varicose veins 3. Calcium deficiency 4. Protein deficiency 5. General undernutrition.
However, since you had fever, this pain can be attributed to viral infection, most commonly influenza. Some medicine like paracetamol will give you relief. Usually such viral infections go away within a week.
However, please report to your Obstetrician and rule out rubella infection. You get a mild rash all over the body in this infection. This infection is very trivial for mother, however is known to cause multiple abnormalities in the baby.
