What Causes Pain In Left Side And Swelling Of Stomach Suddenly?

while lying back down from putting extra blankets on the bed, I went to roll over and had very sharp pain deep in my left side,it lasted for about 5 min, I was afraid to move but finally did and the pain is not there but my stomach is becoming swollen slowly and im really shaky, and it just doesnt feel right. but dont want to go into emergency unless it could be seriuos.
