What Causes Pain In Left Side Of Stomach, Neck And Shoulder?
I am having pain I my stomach left side of belly button straight across from it. Also having pain in my neck left side down into my shoulder. Had a car scan done this pack week and showed nothing with my colon but more then normal amount of fluid in my pelvic region. I can t hardly eat or I am in terrible pain and poop very soon after I eat. YYYY@YYYY
I read your question carefully and understand your concern.
Your symptoms may be related to different disorders affecting the digestive system ( inflammatory disease, esophageal spasms, pancreatitis).
An irritable bowel syndrome can't be excluded, although the fluid found in your pelvic, is not typical of this disorder.
I recommend consulting with the GP for a careful physical examination and some lab tests:
- complete blood count - inflammation tests (fibrinogen, PCR, sedimentation rate) - kidney and liver function tests - amylase plasma levels - fasting glucose - blood electrolytes, etc.
An endoscopy of the gastro intestinal tract would be necessary to exclude possible inflammatory disease or esophageal spasms. Hope to have been of help!
Best wishes,
Dr. Iliri
