What Causes Pain In Left Side Upper Back That Moves Till Breast?

i have a horrible pain on my left side upper back that runs around to the front just under my breast. at first i thoughtMUSCLE e spasams got med for that and it did nothing for my pain . went to dr ans she said it wasnt shingles because i didnt have a rash i was prescribed gabepritn for pain . could i have shingles with out the rash?

yes it can be shingles.shingles without a rash is called ZSH (zoster sine herpete) .
it is not common .
it is also difficult to diagnose because the usual shingles rash is not present .
