What Causes Pain In Left Side?

My 9 year old son is complaining of sudden sharp pains on his left side, traveling up his sternum. He also says he feels like his heart is going to beat out of his chest at times. In the last 2 days, he s had frequent urination and no BM. Should I be worried?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted your child is complaining sudden chest pain with like heart beat out of his chest....

So here get your child examined for blood pressure checking...
Auscultation done for hearding any murmur of heart sounds....
following investigation done....
-Echo
-ECG
-Chest x ray

Sometime some congenital heart disease might lead it...
So above work up done...

Excess stress or more fluid drinking can lead frequent urination...
If frequent urination remains then further work up done for it...

If no cardiac or respiratory cause present(by above investigation) then it might be simple musculoskeletal pain....

Take care...
You can consult physician for examining your child.......
