What Causes Pain In Left Tricep, Forearm And Headache?

I m having a dull aching pain in my left tricep. It started a little in my forearm in the middle of the night waking me. It woke me this morning moving to my left tricep. I also had a dull headache so I took 4 ibuprofen about 4 hours ago. It never helped the pain in my arm. Thoughts? I m a 43 yr old woman, overweight.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain may be due to a pinched nerve especially if it also causes some numbness.
You will need to have a visit and if nerve pain is considered you will need neck x-rays. Physiotherapy might be helpful to relax the hurting muscles that might be in spasm and also improve the pain.
Combining ibuprofen with physiotherapy is generally more effective.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
