What Causes Pain In Left Underarm With Spasms, Burping And Painful Breathing?

Hello I am a 43 yr old AA woman and last night around 1 I started having pain on my left side underneath my arm and today I am having spasms and can t take a deep breath. I thought it was gas so I took some gas medicine, drank hot tea, vinager, and a warm soda and I still have not relief. I m burping and passing gas but it hurts to take a deep breath. What could be my problem and what can I do to relieve some of my pain?

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the mere presence of only underarm pain without breathing difficulty can be related to muscle spasm or other musculoskeletal issue.

* However, as there is breathing difficulty and at an age of 43, african american person has high chances of having hypercoagulation disorders as Anti phospholipid syndrome or else.

* Immediately consult at an ER as this requires intensive evaluation and care accordingly.

* For primary pain relief, there are various options as

- diclofenac

- ibuprofen

- acetaminophen

- tramadol hydrochloride.
