What Causes Pain In Left Upper Quadrant Of Abdomen And Diarrhoea Alternatively?

I have had a left upper quadrant pain off and on for 4 months. It is a collicky pain. I have had intermittent diahhrea as well. It seems the pain hurts more when I am regular and less with diahhrea. I have had an abdominal ultra sound and a HIDA scan both normal. Did massive amounts of stool samples also normal. Blood work is normal. Can t afford a colonoscopy right now. Any ideas?

Hi
i appreciate your concern
Looking at your symptoms it seems to be IBS irritable bowel syndrome

i would like further details to help you better
your age
duration of illness
frequency of stool
do you smoke

in my opinion you should take tab pantoprazole and tab chloediazepoxide under supervision of your doctor
stop alcohol or smoking
have plenty of fluids and dietary fiber
go for exercise
lead a stress free life enjoy it

you can postpone colonoscopy for a while
Hope this helps you
good luck
