General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The shape of the foot may affect the way the weight is spread when we walk and may cause stress in certain areas and pain. If the arch of your foot is too low or too high you may get such pains.

Wearing proper footwear that will help with the arch of your foot may help better with the pain. Pain killers may reduce the pain for a few hours but can not correct the defect and you will need to use them regularly to feel better.

If you use the right footwear you may have no pain even if you do not use painkillers.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
