Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

The involuntary contraction or spasm of muscles can suggest an electrolyte imbalance like hypocalcemia. This will respond to correction of the same. If electrolytes are normal, this may be a part of already existing disease which can be treated with physiotherapy and drugs to reduce muscle excitability. Your doctor will guide you.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
