What Causes Pain In Lower Abdomen During Intercourse Along With Hot Flashes?

2010 LLQ pain 2nd w/ intercourse. Sharp pain w/ bm same location &R&LLQ as well, along w/ hot flashes n cold sweats. 2lapro procedures 2014&2016. Dx endo stage 1. Continuous pain since 2012. Gaba, percs, adderal (Dx w/ add 2010). 2014 irreg menstruation w/ bleeding in between... Continuously. Pelvic PT x2 past two yrs. No irreg bm. Pain relieved by L side laying for 2 hrs after 8 hrs as a health care worker (being on feet for 8hrs). What else can I do? All Drs don t know what else to do... Was thinking colonoscopy? R/o something... I know my pain is real. I have seen psych for therapy of past dv relationships, miscarriages, molestation etc... This hasn t helped and when Drs being up to try again... The feelings of past doesn t hurt me or stress me. What stresses me is not knowing what is causing my pain and maybe reflecting at the past might help solve where my pain is physically. Any thoughts?

Hello,

The cause of pain in lower abdomen during intercourse and with hot flashes mean that there is strong possibility of endometriosis involving the recto vaginal pouch. In my clinic, I do recommend a primary evaluation with ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis with further need of diagnostic laparoscopy and CT scan of abdomen & pelvis according to the clinical expertise.
