What Causes Pain In Lower Back, below Ribs And Head And Recurring Fever?
Hi I am a 22 year old white female that had a child 1 year ago. I am a recovering methamphetamine intravenous user and have not used in a month. I have also within the last month gotten out of an abusive relationship where I received hits mostly to my head under my eyes and to my shoulders with occasional strangulation involved. Since leaving the relationship and working to get clean I have come to notice these symptoms and they only seem to be getting worse not better with each passing day. I have lower back pain on each side of my spine, my sides below my ribs are tender to the touch and when I take a breath in its painful, I have a recurring fever that ranges from 99-103 degree, I am fatigued easily and spend most of the day and night sleeping. I am almost always sweaty and its gets worse while sleeping. I never seem to wake well rested and I have what seems to be a constant headache that is all over but worse at the base of my skull and forehead. please if you have any ideas or theories as to what I can do to help ease at least some of this pain it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
As there is constant temperature running with pain lower back, ribs and head ache, I would consider respiratory tract infection as developing pneumonia, bronchitis or else responsible for current agony. Kindly get checked with your primary care provider who may guide you for the need of an x-ray chest and basic lab reports of complete blood counts to get into the cause of the fever and body pain. Though primary relief with acetaminophen or paracetamol is always appreciated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
