What Causes Pain In Lower Chest Portion,near The Ribs?

Hi,my mother has been diagnosed for lung TB 3 months ago.She has pain in the chest portion ,near the ribs.She used to get fever often in the evenings.she also had difficulty in breathing.She has been taking the TB dosage from 3 months.Until now all the previous symptoms have been reduced,but now ,that is ,after three months dosage those symptoms returned back.Now though she is taking the medicine,she is having all those previous symptoms and the pain in the lower chest portion ,near the ribs.Is this TB? or something else?which doctor should i consult?

It is very difficult to say about the disease of your mother because you didn't mention the symptoms , she is having . There is chest pain in the lower part and she is taking anti tubercular treatment fro last 3 months with no relief and all symptoms recurs.
When such patient visit my clinic I advise them to get in one more X RAY chest to rule out any fluid in lower part of chest ( as you mentioned in the query that pain is near the ribs). Usually this type of symptoms happens due to fluid in pleural cavity .
If fluid present then doctor will aspirate this and than patient will get relief.
You didn't mention the anti tubercular treatment 's medicine so very difficult to say about the treatment .
One more reason of such symptoms may be tumor in pained area so please get in M RI to rule out .
Either upload all the reports about the treatment , X ray , blood or consult PULMONOLOGIST and get his opinion.
