What Causes Pain In Lower Hand/groin Area?

I have a sharp pain in my lower right hand side/groin area. I had a full hysterectomy about 3 years ago. The pain intensifies when I move, stand upright, lie straight or walk. It does seem to die off ocasionally, but then comes back with full force and I have been having this now since 8.30pm yesterday.
