What Causes Pain In Lower Left Abdomen With Frequent Urination?

I been hurting in my left lower side for about an hour. I just got off of antibiotics for bronchitis. I had a urge to go pee and I was trying to hold it until I made it to the bathroom and I got a sharp stabbing pain in my left side. I have been peeing more frequently then normal. I m 26 yo and a female. Is this a bladder infection or nothing to really see a doctor over?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
Thanks for asking.I understand your concern.
The antibiotics given for bronchitis circulate through out the body.. to destroy normal friendly bacteria in body( so also in vagina/ bladder). This allows growth of problem creating bacteria/ fungi to grow & cause symptoms.
In my view, you have same in your bladder.. the harmful bacteria had supervened to cause you bladder inflammation ( cystitis ).Even vaginal symptoms due to bad bacteria/ fungi can cause retrograde infection of bladder.
Alkaline syrups like cital liquid 2 spoons with a glass of water will help you for the time being along with urinary pain killer like Pyridium twice a day ( be aware.. the drug colour dark red appears in urine.. do not take it as Blood )& antibiotic as per your doctor advises.
* You should consult your treating doctor for medication, replacement of lactobacilli ( normal friendly bacteria ) & other medicines as per need.

Thanks.
