What Causes Pain In Lower Left Abdomen?

I have a horrible pain in my lower left abdomin. This has been going on for more that a year and it resently got more frequently. I was wondering if i should look deeper into it. I am also 15 years of age, and overweight... other than me being heavy my medical history is clean.

The horrible pain it he left lower abdomen in an obese person can be due to colitis, hernia, Ovarian problem if you are a female patient.
Get an ultrasonography done as also colonoscopy as per the findings by a Doctor. One year is a long time to suffer without any proper diagnosis.
