I went to the doctor about a month ago was told I had uri and viral cold. But its been gone an the rib was hurting before then and just getting worst. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Given the location I would also like you and your doctor yo work towards ruling out gastric causes. Change your diet and eating habits, stop smoking at the earliest, deink plenty of water, avoid spicy/fried/fatty/oily food, avoid tea and coffee, avoid carbonated drinks, and start usig 1 tablet of 150 mg lansoprazole once every monring.

If you do experience an improvement then you will require an upper GI endoscopy.

Best wishes
