Is there anything I can do about it to reduce or eliminate the pain....?
Hi, I have gone through your question. Pain in the mons pubis area , just at the site of symphysis pubis is quite common in pregnancy because as the pregnancy advances, the pubic ligaments stretch to widen the pelvis. This gradual stretching of the ligaments lead to severe pain in the mons pubis area. I would suggest you to do prenatal exercises, especially the butterfly stretch, which helps in relieving the pain. Moreover, you can consult an OBGYN specialist for pain medications, if required. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
