Hi. For the past couple of weeks, I've been having bad pains in my heart and chest area. It hurts the majority of the time, and especially when I laugh. It feels like it's burning, and sometimes it feels like something is popping. I'm 13, female. It hurts a lot, any idea of what may be going on? Thanks!
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic. I can understand your concern. Left sided chest pain is commonly due to heart diseases but at your age of 13 years, heart diseases are very uncommon. But better to get done ecg and 2d echo first to rule out heart related diseases. If both are normal then possibility acute gastritis is more as a cause for your chest pain. Stress and anxiety are the risk factors at your age. So if you have stress and tension then avoid them, be relax and calm. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals. Take proton pump inhibitors and prokinetic drugs. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
