What Causes Pain In My Left Butt Cheek?

I had radial frequency ablation of the facet joint in my left lower back on 6/23/16. On 6/27/16 I began experiencing pain in my left butt cheek and I still have this pain. It will sometimes radiate down the side of my leg and my foot will tingle. Is this static nerve pain and could it have come from the RFA?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The pain in left butt cheek following ablation through radio frequency may be indicated of a sequence of fibrosis of tissue of concerned region, neuronal disturbances or else.

* It is highly recommended to discuss the need of an MRI of the part for best cause evaluation and cure in that pattern needed as per the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
