What Causes Pain In My Lower Right Hip And Ribs

I have been having pain in my lower right side, just above my hip and under my ribs. It woke me up on Friday night. I took a stool softener thinking it was constipation cramps. It subsided a bit but is coming back. I considered a bladder or kidney infection but I don t have burning during urination or a fever. Could it be the beginning of an infection?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to constipation cramps. I suggest using an over the counter laxativ such as Miralax. I also suggest using daily probiotics. I recommend to drink liquids and eat a healthy diet.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
