What Causes Pain In My Vagina During Intercourse?

I've been with my boyfriend for a while now, and neither of us have STD's or STI's... the past week, it has hurt when he put more than just the head of his penis in. I feel like the pain is coming from up in my vagina, maybe near the ovaries. What could it be?
