Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a history of migraines and I have had 3 separate herniated disk replacement surgeries in my neck. The C4 - C6-ish. I have been experiencing pain in my neck at the base of my skull and up by left ear that feels like an ice pick stabbing into it. It is more than a regular headache but not a migraine. Not sure. I probably need to make appointment with my doctor.
Of course you should do an appointment with your doctor because it can be a reoccurrence of the herniated disc on your cervical spine. Nerve compression can cause the pain you are having.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
