What Causes Pain In Neck And Shoulder Blade With Severe Anxiety?

Five years ago my son was mugged and stabbed in the right upper chest and had to undergo surgery. The last 3 years he has experienced severe pain in his neck and shoulder blade, he says it feels like the bone is rubbing against bone. He also had Burkets Lymphoma at the age of 13 and is now 28, The pain is cusing him to get seevere anxiety attacks, what can it be. He saw a Neurosurgeon and had X-rays, MRI & CT but could not afford to go back to the surgeon as his rates are too high.
