What Causes Pain In Neck Radiating To Shoulder And Arm?

Hi i seem to be having a neck problem which involves severe shooting pain in the right shoulder blade and going all the way to the left arm down. I am not able to sit for too long dont have any spinal problem Is it a nerve problem which involves the neck back and arm This has started from the past three days The pain is unbearable
