What Causes Pain In Neck Radiating To The Head While Sleeping?

Thank you!. I have head pain at night, when I am sleeping it wakes me when I lay on my left side, it seems to come from neck, or low behind left ear, and radiates up left side of head and settles in head before it reaches left temple. As soon as I move and lie on the right side it abates? During the day I get mild stabbing pain on left side of head, mostly behind left ear and over left ear, but beyond hair line. I ve had MRI .. nothing shows, xray shows mild arthritis and narrowing of left side disk. Can you shed any light?

It appears to be postural problem leading to spondylosis,just get MRI cervical spine,use hard bed,avoid pillow,do yoga,go for physiotherapy and use muscle relaxant with local pain gel.you may need nerve tonics like vitamin B12 and vitamin D with calcium.rule out cardiac problem just by a plain ECG and TMT
