What Causes Pain In One With Bursitis Despite Medication?
Hi, I keep getting bursitis of the shoulder. I got a cortisone shot two months ago and went to PT for 5 weeks. I had no pain for about a month and a half then the pain returned even while taking anti-inflammatories. I don t know why the inflammation returns?
Generally bursitis happens due to tendons rubbing over the bones in the shoulders and creating inflammation which is called bursitis. It is generally aggravated by certain repetitive movements. Some of these movements are related to our daily work or daily activities and may be regularly affecting our shoulders causing the symptoms to recur.
I think that you may need to go on with the physiotherapy for longer and do those exercises regularly to help improve symptoms and also help prevent bursitis from recurring.
I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards,
Antoneta Zotaj General & Family Physician
