What Causes Pain In Ovary With Delayed Periods?

I have a problem in my right ovary, it is too painful until sometimes it paralyzes my right leg,what might be the cause? Secondly since I experience that pain my periods has delayed and I have all the signs I normally have when it is almost to my days for periods.
