What Causes Pain In Right Side Of Abdomen Post Endometrial Ablation?

Yes, I had endometrial ablation with hystercopy done in 2013. After the surgery I often told my OB/GYN about pain on my right side as if it were trapped gas that hurts pretty bad and a foul order. I did not have neither of the two until I had this procedure done. Can you please tell me what might these two problems be that still exists to this day. Please help!

Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. I would wish to ask if you can elaborate more on the problem, if the foul smell is emanating from the vagina and if you had any peri-operative events that could be classed as accountable for this complaint. Trapped gas can be seen on a plain x-ray of the abdomen as well as a sonogram. Usually gas pockets shrink as they get absorbed. If this is not so and is the cause of the concern, it should be properly managed. Infection also should be ruled out as the cause of the foul smell. You should see a surgeon for further help. Take care.
