General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to repetitive stress injury. This can be due to wrong postures you assume while sleeping or sitting. Hot fomentation, applying anti inflammatory gels containing ketoprofen, capsaicin and methyl salicylate will be helpful. You can also take over the counter analgesics like ibuprofen ( motrin ). If the condition worsen or persisting then approach an orthopedician to rule out conditions like cervical spondylosis.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
