What Causes Pain In Shoulders When Sleeping On The Side?

My shoulder is paining when sleeping on the sides at the location of the deltiod muscles , if i sleep on the other shoulder it also starts paining, I recently had a fall on the back while going down the carpet stairs , is this the reason why my shoulders pain
