What Causes Pain In Side Of Stomach And Navel?

hi i was woken last night with terrible pain on my right side of my stomach which i thought could be wind related took tablets but no better now pain ging across top of belly button and very painful when i push my tummy could this still be wind related getting a bit worried now

If you are having severe abdominal pain, it would be best to see your doctor for assessment to rule out a surgical cause of the pain.

On the right side of the abdomen, the most common surgical cause would be appendicitis however if the pain is above the umbilicus in the epigastric region, it may be related to the stomach.

A thorough history and examination are the only sure ways to determine the source of the pain.
