What Causes Pain In Sternum And Shoulder Blade?

I am experiancing both pain in my sternum area and in my right shoulder blade. I have been told by a doctor two weeks ago that the pain in my chest was the result of a syndrome I developed after a cold but now my shoulder is feeling the same way and the chest sometimes feels improved and sometimes doesn t. Any ideas?

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, chances of muscular spasm is very likely and this is mostly happening due to lower respiratory inflammatory process and second acid reflux disease in either case it is better to have PPI (Proton pump inhibitor) and best is Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day, along with this "Tab Chlorzoxazone with Diclofenac" once in day can be tried, this is nothing to worry, take care and have a nice day.
