What Causes Pain In Stomach And Vagina During Pregnancy?
Hi. I m 19 years old and 10 weeks and 3 days pregnant. About two hours ago I had a memory foam pillow thrown at me while I was laying down and it landed right on my stomach. Ever since I ve had a dull pain in my stomach that hasn t gone away. My vaginal area has just started slightly cramping and I noticed my stool was a lighter color with a hint of red. Should I be worried or go into the ER ?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Your history &complaints do suggest the possibility of hitting lower abdomen with possibility of vaginal bleeding.
Please observe whether the blood is in stools &with pain in the lower abdomen(intestinal colic). Such a condition can cause pain in the lower abdomen & blood.
If you find it's from stools a detailed examination by your doctor would help in getting specific treatment.
But if it is from the vagina with cramps in the lower abdomen you should take rest, avoid exertion &consult your gynecologist for stopping the blood &the possible abortion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
