What Causes Pain In Stomach And Waist After Taking Vitafol?

Hello am 2month pregnant can I take vital, folic acid and Multivitamins?Am asking this because I was okay but as soon as I start taking vitafol 2days later I felt pains and cramps in my stomach and waist pains and afterwards there was little light blood looking brown reddish colour in my underpants for 5days now...... What can I do to save my baby

Hello,

Vitafol is basically a multivitamin given to prevent any vitamin deficiency. Yes, not all but some patients do complain of stomach upset, diarrhea or cramps after taking Vitafol.

Report immediately to your treating doctor about the cramps & bleeding. She can prescribe you some other medication that suits you better.

You need to be physically examined as bleeding can be due to the abnormal placental position.

You may need a USG done to see the fetal well being. Do not take unnecessary stress, Stay relaxed & at rest. Avoid doing any heavy work.
