What Causes Pain In Tail Bone After Hitting It?

ok about 5 months ago i was messing around in the waight room a my high school and i was sitting on a pole that was on a lifting machine and the machine was lifted then droped hard and the pole did a hammer like thing to my tail bone and it is still hurting!!!
