What Causes Pain In Temple Pulsating Area With Swelling?

Hello doctor I have a pain in my right side temple pulsating area and it is slightly swollen .i feel the swelling as well .this happened when I turned my head and clenched my teeth together ar the same time what do I do and I need instant remedy

Hi,

It is unclear since when has the pain started, whether a matter of hours, days, weeks. Also it might have been useful to know your age as some conditions such as temporal arteritis usually manifest only after the age of 60.

If it is a question of hours I would take an over the counter anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen. If pain persists you should get checked by an ENT specialist for the possibility of an ear infection or temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction.
