What Causes Pain In The Abdomen Just Below The Diaphragm?

Hi! I am a 61 year old woman in good health. today I have been experiencing pain in the middle of my abdomen just below the diaphragm. It doesn t seem to be my stomach. the pain is like a 2-3 on a 1-10 scale with no fever. What should I look for? Could it be an issue with my liver? Thanks!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It can be pain from liver, gallbladder or pancreas. You should do a total blood count, also biochemical blood balance and an abdominal ultrasound.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
