What Causes Pain In The Abdomen On The Left Side?

Hey so I m pretty concerned. My upper left part of my abdomen in the front has had a sharp stabbing pain for the past few days. It s not gotten to the point if I lay on that side it hurts worse. It also swells in just one spot about 3 inches from my belly button. (It s really noticeable). I m not going to the bathroom regularly and now my stool is like bright green and not solid. I thought it may have just been stress but it won t go away. What could be going on?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, you are mostly having mild intestinal infection because you are having abdominal pain and semisolid stool.
Just drink plenty of fluids orally. Take oral rehydration solution (ORS) and zinc tablet.
Alsop take probiotic (sporolac) thrice daily.
Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
Eat more curd, yogurt and buttermilk.
You will mostly improve with all these in 2-3 days. If not improving then get done ultrasound examination of abdomen to rule out internal pathology.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
