Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain In The Abdomen On The Right Side?
Hi, Dr Rynne. Im having stomach pain. the pain originates between my rib cage and extends to below my right side. it feels like a swallowed rocks. it woke me up in the middle of the night from my sleep. it seems to be temp better if i sip water. recurrences over the past couple weeks. I have also had constipation over the last few days.
I am thinking if you are having some adhesion in right hepatic flexure which might be causing you all these symptoms because it can even cause constipation. All this could be infectious origin also like tuberculosis. So I would recommend you to get an endoscopy and ultrasound abdomen. If any pathology found out then treatment will be easy. If nothing is found I think it's better to wait for some time with no worries.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
