What Causes Pain In The Abdomen?

i am having a dull achy pain in my abdomen. I went to the hospital and they told me i am having contractions but not in labor, but i feel like something is wrong. The pain is happening too often and i cannot get comfortable at all. They did a test that said i would not be having the baby for at least the next two weeks, but i dont know what to do to make this better

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The pain may be due to braxton hicks contractions. These are contractions that are felt before labour, they are the body's way of preparing for labour to occur.

They start in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy in most women though in some cases they can start before- in the second trimester.
These contractions can last from 30 to 60 seconds.

There is no treatment indicated for braxton hicks but some women find that changing their positions and making sure that they are well hydrated, may help.

I hope this helps
