Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m having pretty bad pain in my hands and arms as well as calves and feet. Fairly sudden onset. Hands hurt worse when I close them, hard to close tight into a fist. Typing does cause some discomfort in fingers. Have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. Would have been to see Primary, unfortunately she is out after breaking her foot during ski trip. Is this issue probably more of osteo? Or something. Should I get in to see one of her fellow docs, or do you think it can wait until she is back in June?
If this is the confirm case of osteoarthritis, then you can wait for some time. Till then you can try any anti-inflammatory drug. If this is not osteoarthritis, then muscular spasm may be the cause.
It can be due to some potassium deficiency beside the osteoarthritis.
The condition needs to be consulted with another fellow doctor or your primary one.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain,
