General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Crestor and other statins can be associated with muscle or joint pain. People respond differently to these medications. If you are still having severe pain after 2 weeks of no medication then it is possible that it may not be related to the medication. You may need to be reassessed and bloods taken such as creatine, complete blood count, and ESR. Imaging may also be needed as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
